Chapter 1: Farming
Alternate title: Let's try first person!
-------------------------
I sigh as I kill another hornet. I've been killing these things for so long it was starting to get boring. My skills had resin to a point to where the bees didn't pose any kind of challenge. "Damn it, I wanna go fight harder stuff!"
Unfortunately, gear and gil don't grow on trees. I don't wanna be the laughing stock of Valkurm when I reach there. I look at my inventory and let out another sigh. "only two stacks..."
On an unrelated note, these bags they give out to adventures are interesting. I saw someone pull a bed out of one, and yet I can't seem to fit many beehive chips in there...
I sit down on a rock and think. "I shouldn't need too many more to sell..." Just then I hear someone scream.
"AERO!"
I see a bee fall as a black mage turns the corner. "Sweet another chip!" he says.
One look at him and I can tell he could over farm these things to where I wouldn't get anything.
"Hey, can you leave a few bees for me to kill, I really need the gil." I ask.
"Meh, I don't feel like it, besides I don't want to cut into my profits."
Ok, so he's an asshole. No big, maybe if I'm fast and lucky enough I can-
Three hours later and I've only managed to kill 5 bees.
"You suck you know that!" I yell at him from across the clearing.
"You're just mad because I'm better than you!" He yells back, sticking his tongue out in the possess.
"Oh come on" I sigh as he casts another spell on a bee that just appeared. Wait a sec, this bee seems a little different.
"The hell?" He says.
"What's a 'Stinging Sophie'?" I ask.
Aparently it's a superbee. He casts and casts, both his and the bee's HP are falling fast and just when it looks like he's going to win-- Sophie uses final sting.
I stare at the black mage laying in front of me. More accurately, I look at his item back that he drooped.
On an unrelated note I don't have to farm anymore, and have this really cool dagger!
